AUTOLUX - Demo
I'm not going to go and bore the hell out of everyone while i rant on about how fucking amazing these guys are, or even a brief history of the band, all you need to know is that if you haven't heard them yet, you are missing out, big fucking time. If you have heard them, you already know all there is to know. These two tracks are from the demo which was available through autolux.net and at a few of their shows around March of 2001 (yea, just because "Future Perfect" was first released in 2004 doesn't mean they formed that year as well...read something.) Both tracks do not appear on their full length, but i heard that the song "Future Perfect" was released as a B-side to a single or 12" or something over seas. Those bastards get all the good shit. Oh, and what's the deal with EA releasing that game Timesplitters: Future Perfect like a full year after Autolux put out their record of the same name. I mean yea, Timesplitters is a fun series, but shit...get your own material.

+ Future Perfect

+ Underorbit

+ Jesse Draxler

Autolux owns, i caught then up here in minnesota last october, one of the best performances i've ever seen of any band.
As far as the title future perfect being shemped for a video game, i think the technoraver band VNV nation also released an album called "future Perfect" around the same time autolux did.
Still we all know the "Future Perfect" that will live for generations will be the one made by Autolux.

I wonder if you realize that the absolutely awesome version of Future Perfect (the song not the album) is not from the 5 song demo that autolux sold through their website; I own that demo. The actual version of Future Perfect that is on the demo is the one that you reposted as Future Perfect (Demo). This version is completely fucking awesome though.

Oh yeah, did I mention that this version is awesome?

I saw them in Pomona, California back in 2001-2003 -- they opened for Death Cab For Cutie -- and the only performance I remember was Autolux. I bought their 5 buck demo CD at the show -- and it is sitting in my garage. I bet some die hard Autolux fan would love something like that.
